Tasha Belix, M.A. Counselling Psychology

Clinical Director, Author, Speaker & Psychologist

As you might have guessed, Tasha is the founder and director of Belix Psychology.

First-hand, Tasha can tell you that healing is possible. Having experienced the impact of mental health challenges and addiction within her own family, Tasha dedicated the past 25 years to helping others break patterns and heal from trauma. As the mother of three spicy young women, she knows how helpful it is to have an expert hand in supporting your favourite people.

In fact, off the clock, you can often find her running, hiking, snowboarding, or serving on the tennis court.

Malvern Nyamande

Clinical Social Worker

Malvern Nyamande, MSW

Clinical Social Worker

Malvern espouses Carl Rogers’ idea that people are just as wonderful as sunsets if you let them be.

When not doing therapy, he enjoys riding and shopping for motorcycles, playing soccer, watching the news, and cleaning his truck—it’s a guy thing. (Please don’t tell his wife.)

Heather Alexander, M.A. Counselling Psychology

Registered Provisional Psychologist

Heather is a warm, compassionate therapist who genuinely cares about her clients. She brings empathy and understanding, shaped by her own life experiences – including divorce, single parenthood, and parenting neurodiverse children.

Heather understands how challenging it can be to break free from generational cycles of trauma, and just how much courage it takes to choose a new path. She feels honoured to support clients who are ready to make meaningful changes and walk alongside them as they create a healthier, more joyful life.

Outside of work she enjoys hands-on home improvements, assembling IKEA furniture, working on puzzles with her children, attending sports events, spending quality time in the mountains, and walking her dog, Snoopy.

Melissa Watson, M.A. Counselling Psychology

Registered Psychologist

Melissa is deeply passionate about human behaviour—what drives us, connects us, and helps us heal. In particular, the impacts and importance of healthy attachments, relationships, and restoring connection to oneself.

Clients would describe Melissa as deeply caring, calm, and always her authentic self.

Joanna moved to Canada 18 years ago as a skilled worker. Leaving her own practice in the UK as a holistic practitioner she followed a varied career path in marketing and mutual funds where she acted as an executive assistant for several financial planners, discovering her ability to find order in chaos.

Joanna now practices her therapies for fun, treating friends, and is happy to assist Tasha and her team with the fantastic work they do for young people and their families.
