Recap: “Real” Self-Care Workshop

Self-care is not optional — it’s essential. And we should feel encouraged to model it for others.

Key takeaways:

  1. Real self-care isn’t about adding more to your plate — it’s about making space.
  2. Something has to come off to allow room to tend to your inner world.
  3. Even one small, consistent change can lead to powerful results over time.

We felt it was the perfect moment to create space — especially for women, and moms in particular — to slow down, check in with their energy, and take mindful steps toward finding balance.

Through shared stories, tears, and authentic connection, all of us — including Sheri and me — acknowledged the often invisible weight women carry. From demanding jobs to being the emotional anchors of our families, riding the highs and lows of our children’s lives (no matter their age), caring for aging loved ones, and more… it’s no wonder that somewhere along the way, we forget to care for ourselves.

Our hope in offering this workshop was to spark a much-needed conversation — one that helps women release the impossible “I can do it all” mindset and instead lean on each other for real support. Together, we can build lives that reflect what truly matters and carve out space to enjoy a hobby, a passion, or simply rest — without guilt.

No matter how different we may seem on the surface, we’re more alike than not. And when women truly support each other, amazing things happen. We can show up for one another, offer help when it’s needed, and cheer each other on every step of the way.

Stay tuned for our next workshop — and don’t hesitate to reach out if you need support in finding a little more balance, with you at the center of it all.
